Teresa Shepherd, DQM

Teresa Shepherd, B.S., B.A., R.N., CIC, is the director of quality management at Dignity Health Rehabilitation Hospital. In this role since 2020, she coordinates medical management and performance improvement activities to enhance patient and customer services.

Previously, Teresa spent six years as an infection preventionist for Southwestern Medical Center. Earlier, she was a case manager for Indian Health Systems in Arizona where she started her career as a bedside nurse.

Teresa earned bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Oklahoma Baptist University and business administration from Florida’s Nova Southeastern University. She is certified in infection prevention and control (CIC) by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
